MDPHP
A synthetic entactogenic stimulant of the Substituted cathinone class, 3′,4′-methylenedioxy–pyrrolidinohexiophenone (MDPHP) or Monkey Dust is frequently used recreationally for its stimulating, disinhibiting, libido-enhancing, compulsively redosing, and euphoric effects. It has structural similarities with the powerful stimulant MDPV but has mellower effects. To a large extent, MDPHP is believed to function as an NDRI (norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibitor). As a consequence of this inhibition, dopaminergic and noradrenergic signaling at dopamine and norepinephrine receptors on the receiving neuron is increased and sustained for a longer period of time, producing a stronger and more sustained post-synaptic impact.
